What's the closest thing you have to a time machine?

The closest thing I have to a time machine? That would be a VHS copy of UNICO. It's this amazing anime (cartoon) movie about a unicorn who has the gift and curse of being able to bring happiness to people's lives - but without ever staying part of their lives. Once he has given his gift of joy, he is forced to move on to a new world, leaving behind the people he has grown to love. I love the story, tragic though it may be. There's still something beautiful and powerful about knowing that even though you must leave the world behind, you can still leave it a better place.
It's the first movie I remember seeing. I was about four or five years old, and I remember thinking that the little unicorn was a real hero. Most kids I guess grew up thinking cowboys or knights are heros, but I distinctly remember knowing that this little creature - who did most of his good deeds in secret - was the real hero. He entered people's lives determined to make them better. What could be more heroic?
Anyway, I still watch the video at least once a year. And everytime I see it, it's like I'm taken back to that four year old girl who learned what mattered in life, without even realising it, from the story of a little unicorn. It may not be a time machine, but it takes me back...and it always makes me smile. ^_^
